Inlay & Onlay Restorations in Antalya, Turkey (Premium Ceramic Fillings)
When a tooth has a large cavity or an old, failing filling, it may be too damaged for a simple filling.
However, it may not be damaged enough to need a full dental crown. The perfect solution is an Inlay or an Onlay.
These are high-tech, lab-made restorations. They offer a durable, long-lasting, and attractive solution. They are often called “partial crowns.”
What Are Inlays & Onlays?
An inlay or onlay is one solid, custom-milled piece of ceramic, like E-max, or zirconium.
It fits into your tooth’s prepared cavity like a puzzle piece.
- Inlay: A restoration that fits within the cusps (the top bumps) of the tooth.
- Onlay: A larger restoration that covers one or more cusps. It restores more of the tooth’s biting surface.
- Superior Strength & Durability: They are milled from a solid block of high-strength ceramic, like E-max. This makes them much stronger than a soft composite filling packed by hand. They can last for decades.
- Better Fit (No Gaps): They are designed from a 3D digital scan of your tooth. This CAD/CAM precision ensures a seamless fit, which seals out bacteria and prevents future decay.
- Preserves Tooth Structure: This treatment is more conservative than a full crown. It only removes the decayed or damaged part. This helps preserve more of your healthy natural tooth.
- Stain Resistant & Aesthetic: The ceramic material is non-porous and will not stain over time like composite can. It perfectly mimics the translucency and colour of natural enamel.
- Appointment 1: Preparation & Scan
- The tooth is numbed, and all decay (or the old filling) is removed.
- We take a high-tech 3D digital scan (no messy impressions).
- A temporary filling is placed, and the digital scan is sent to our lab.
- Lab Fabrication (1-2 Days)
- Our technicians use CAD/CAM software to design your custom inlay/onlay from the 3D scan.
- The restoration is then milled from a single, solid block of premium E-max ceramic.
- Appointment 2: Final Bonding
- You return to the clinic, the temporary is removed.
- We try in your final ceramic restoration, check the fit and bite, and then permanently bond it to your tooth. The result is a tooth that is strong, functional, and beautiful.
